Emerald Coast Estates is a family owned and operated “55 and Better” retirement community located on the Brookings-Harbor “bench” between the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the backdrop of the Coast Range. Our gated retirement community of manufactured and possible site built homes is interspersed with natural wetlands, water features, green common areas and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding hills.

Our family arrived in the Northern California/Southern Oregon area in 1955. Since the early 1970’s we have been a 3rd generation Easter Lily Bulb farming operation. Virtually all of the Easter Lily Bulbs sold in the U.S. and Canada are produced in this area. Our family recently diversified into retirement home development and now the family is solely in this sector.

Brookings-Harbor has become a popular retirement area. People are drawn here by the moderate climate (the area is widely known as the “banana belt” of Oregon), the pristine rivers close by, the extraordinary fishing, the Port of Brookings-Harbor (known as one of the safest on the west coast), the redwoods near by, and the striking panoramic views.

Our original concept was to provide an opportunity for those “55 and Better” to either retire here or be able to have a second home in this special area. Our goal was to have homes with top notch quality and yet be affordable. We wanted a first class community center where residents could meet and socialize. We now have provided an opportunity (in ECE 2) for homeowners to either long term lease or purchase the land under their home. We think we have accomplished our goals and we invite you to join our family at Emerald Coast Estates…………a place to call home.
